winning teams NEGOTIATE with heart.

That means learning how to have strategic discussions with purpose, personality and peace.

I’m on a mission to help redefine negotiation by infusing it with the emotional intelligence it needs to foster the collaborative energy that creates the triple bottom line of profitability, innovation and social impact.

Being an Strong negotiator MEANS you can make the seemingly impossible, possible.

I love helping people tap into this problem-solving ability.

I'm a negotiation coach, a regular contributor to Forbes, and a workshop facilitator. I help organizations and people bring their best selves to their work by helping them learn to negotiate with heart and authenticity. I also explore the possibility we have in delivering learning and development for remote and virtual teams. The future of work is virtual, so we need to relearn and create methods to develop trust to close the distance for remote working in a meaningful, cost-efficient way.

Previous to writing and teaching, I worked for 17 years in campaigns and legislative advocacy for working people and progressive causes. I helped hundreds of people run for office, develop strong teams, and help many new leaders take their first strategic steps. I also mentored dozens of staff and hundreds of political candidates as they navigated career paths, fundraising anxiety and major pivots. Beyond learning negotiation in a legislative arena, I also learned the art of contract negotiation through managing purchasing, contracts and use agreements for countless campaigns that totaled in the millions of dollars in direct mail, phone and digital outreach, as well as in-kind contributions of real property.

But key to all these experiences is understanding how to help people build strong teams and stronger leaders. How do we break out the steps we have to take to discover and strengthen our inner confidence and conviction?

Whether it’s a group of new managers, fine-tuning intergenerational or cross-functional collaboration, or helping your organization develop strong lateral leadership skills, I’m here to help!

I'm dedicated to helping people thrive as whole human beings.

That means I want to help coach people on building sustainable, healthy habits - negotiating and winning at work and home, and also with themselves and their personal ecology. Negotiating with yourself can sometimes be your toughest deal! But by doing so, you can be sure that you will start every future negotiation with less concessions and more winning.
